Boston Firefighters Battle Six-alarm Blaze

One firefighter was injured in the blaze that caused $750,000 in damage.

A Boston firefighter was injured while battling a six-alarm fire Wednesday morning.

The fire was reported at 8:35 a.m., according to Boston fire officials.

They called for a second alarm immediately when they found the rear of 102 Webster Street and 309 Sumner Street burning.

Firefighters stretched numerous handlines to hit the fire in the East Boston neighborhood.

Boston EMS transported the firefighter to the hospital with a leg injury.

Fire officials said the blaze caused $750,000 in damage.
