A fire in Quincy, Ill. has claimed the lives of a father and two young sons.
The father Lewis Bassett, and his sons, Ladavion, 1, and Lewis, 3, died in the fire early Sunday morning, according to The Quincy Journal.
Smoke was coming out of the house at 921 N. 11th when firefighters arrived, Assistant Chief Rob Tipton told reporters.
A second alarm was sounded to bring additional manpower. The victims were found in an addition on the north side of the house.
The cause remains under investigation.
