NEW YORK (AP) — Authorities say three people found dead inside a burning New York City apartment had stab wounds.
The blaze broke out at 4:50 a.m. Tuesday inside a sixth-floor apartment in Queens.
Police say the victims were all found near the entrance. Their gender and ages were not immediately known.
The medical examiner's office will determine the cause of death. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Three firefighters suffered minor injuries.
Authorities say the fire was confined to the apartment. It was brought under control before 5:30 a.m.

The fire was held to one apartment, and WABC-TV reports that all three victims were found near the living room. The victims were all adults.
