A firefighter stayed in the cab until the utility company shut the power line down.

A firefighter was trapped in the cab of a ladder when a live power line fell on a ladder truck in Ossining.

The fire broke out Wednesday morning at a home under renovation.

"The electric service to the building fell down right on top of the tower ladder, and it was a live wire so we had a driver trapped in the truck," Deputy Fire Chief Frank Sylvester told the Journal News. "We couldn't move it and we had to be careful moving (hoses) because of the live electric wires."
