N.C. Ambulance Crashes Through Building

The Moore County EMS ambulance wrecked during a heavy downfall of rain.

No crews members were injured when an ambulance struck a building Wednesday.

The accident happened at 11:30 a.m. as the Moore County EMS rig was headed to a call, the Aberdeen Times reported. Heavy rain was falling at the time of the crash.

The ambulance smashed through one side of the building before crashing through another wall and coming to a stop outside. According to the newspaper, the building suffered extensive damage.

Another ambulance responded to the original call.

Units from Carthage Fire and Rescue, Carthage Police Department, Moore County EMS and Moore County Public Safety were summoned to the scene.
