A Kansas firefighter has died after he collapsed during training.

Garden City Firefighter Ronnie Peek, 49, died after suffering a heart attack during a procedure at a local hospital.

Peek, a 16-year fire service veteran, was participating in an air pack drill when he fell ill.

Funeral arrangements will be announced later.

He is the third firefighter to die on duty this year.
