Minn. Firefighter Dies Responding to Med. Call

A 57-year-old Minnesota firefighter suffered a medical emergency while on a medical call himself and died Thursday night.

A 57-year-old Minnesota firefighter suffered a medical emergency while on a medical call himself and died Thursday night, Feb. 19.

According to local television station WDIO, Randy Hiti, 57, a 26-year veteran of Rice Lake Township was responding to the call when he was stricken.

His body was escorted from the hospital to the funeral home in a solemn procession Thursday night.

Visitation for Hiti is scheduled for Tuesday and a funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 24 at St. John’s Catholic Church, 4230 St. Johns Ave. in Rice Lake Township.
