Two FDNY EMTs Injured in Brooklyn Ambulance Crash

Two FDNY EMS workers were in the ambulance that flipped over near the Brooklyn Bridge.

An ambulance crash in Brooklyn has left two FDNY EMS workers with serious, non-life threatening injuries Friday evening.

The accident happened around 5:30 p.m. in downtown Brooklyn as the ambulance was exiting the Brooklyn Bridge while responding to a motor vehicle accident.

The rig collided with a SUV and the ambulance rolled on its side, according to local television station WABC.

The EMTs were taken to Bellvue Hospital.

Two others were transported from the scene with minor injuries. 

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
