According to WPRI television, a Providence firefighter was hospitalized with second-degree burns he suffered fighting an overnight house fire Thursday night.
The fire broke out on the second floor when no one was home, according to the television station.
The firefighter's injuries were not considered life-threatening and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
