An Ohio firefighter, who suffered a heart attack in 2014, died Jan. 18 of complications related to the incident.
Middletown Division of Fire Firefighter Scott D. Bruggeman suffered a heart attack on March 18, 2014 while restraining a patient in Atrium Medical Center.
He was diagnosed with sarcoidosis, and underwent several heart surgeries.
After the last procedure in November, 2015, he was placed in hospice care where he died on Jan. 18. He was 45.
Funeral arrangements are pending.
