Man Charged in Ark. Firefighter Shooting

Mark Pruitt, who shot Pulaski Fire Lt. Jason Adams, has been charged with manslaughter.

The man who shot Pulaski Fire Lt. Jason Adams on Friday was arrested and charged with manslaughter.

Adams, 29, responded at 5 a.m. when Mark Pruitt's wife called after the man suffered a seizure.

Pruitt, 47, told Pulaski County investigators that a man entered his home without a uniform or identifying himself, according to ArkansasOnline.com.

That's when Pruitt shot Adams as he stood in the bedroom doorway.

Adams was taken to Baptist Health Medical Center and pronounced dead.

Pruitt is being held on $10,000 bond.
