Man Charged in Break-ins at N.C. Fire Stations

The man faces more than a dozen charges related to vehicle break-ins at several fire stations.

SUMMERFIELD — A Charlotte man accused of breaking into firefighters' cars in the Charlotte area and Greensboro is facing additional charges from the Guilford County Sheriff's Office.

Johnny LaQuinton Bing, 26, of 1222 W. Woodlawn Road, is accused of breaking into cars at Station 39, the Summerfield Fire Department, at 6214 Lake Brandt Road, on Feb. 24, the sheriff's office said.

Bing is charged with five counts of breaking and entering of a motor vehicle, four counts of injury to personal property, two counts of larceny of a firearm, two counts of possession of a firearm by a felon, and one count each of possession of burglary tools and misdemeanor larceny.

Bing has already been charged in connection with the break-ins in Charlotte and Greensboro. He is in the Mecklenburg County Jail.
