N.J. RIT Crew Activated when Firefighter Falls Through Floor

The firefighter partially fell through the floor at a two-alarm fire in East Greenwich Township.

A firefighter was rescued after falling through the floor of an East Greenwich Township home Saturday.

The fire on Kings Highway was reported just after 11 p.m. and fire was showing from both floors of the 2 1/2-story home when East Greenwich Twp. Fire & Rescue units arrived.

While battling the fire, a firefighter partially fell through the floor, according to NJ.com.

The rapid intervention team was alerted and they pulled the firefighter out. 

He was taken to the hospital for evaluation. 

A second alarm was called as crews tried to contain the fire.
