Driver Arrested After Crashing Car into SC Pumper

A woman was arrested after she drove head-on into a Horry County fire truck.

A woman was arrested after crashing into a fire truck in Conway Tuesday.

Horry County Fire Rescue Engine 23 was stopped at Founders Drive and S.C. 544. around 3 p.m., according to television station WPDE.

A video posted on Instagram shows a police officer talking to the driver who then sped off and crashed head-on into the pumper. The force of the collision pushed the vehicles apart and the driver slammed into the fire truck a second time.

The woman was taken into custody, Conway Sgt. Darren Alston told the television station.

"Just witnessed some crazy ass lady floor it into a firetruck head on after screaming she was tired of being harassed by the police? #Conway," Nick Catabay tweeted.

No firefighters were injured, but one person was transported to the hospital. 

The pumper was removed from service.
