Man Arrested for Harassing OH Firefighters Before Shooting

Police say Cameron Dyer harassed Youngstown firefighters before they were shot at.

Youngstown police arrested a man who harassed firefighters shortly before one of them was shot.

Police arrested Cameron Dyer, 30, on a probation violation, according to television station WKBN.

They did not tie Dyer to the shooting the left one firefighter injured and caused a close call for another firefighter. 

Firefighters called police Monday after Dyer allegedly drove past the scene multiple times and yelled at the firefighters who were working at a house fire.

Dyer could face charges for misconduct at the fire scene.

Following the shooting, the fire union asked the city to allow captains to carry firearms and asked for money to purchase body armor.
