Fourth Firefighter Dies Battling Chile Wildfires

The firefighter was helping a family escape a fire near Constitucion.

A firefighter died during evacuations as a massive forest fire burned out of control near Constitucion Wednesday.

A fire service officials told AFP that the firefighter got struck while trying to help a family escape.

Three other firefighters have died in the last week while battling multiple fires that have consumed over 730 square miles. 

Personnel from France and Mexico are en route to Chile to help firefighters and the U.S. has offered $100,000 in aid.

President Michelle Bachelet called it the worst forest fires in the country's history.
