Three NJ Firefighters Hurt as Apparatus Overturns

June 19--Three Nutley firefighters were injured when a ladder apparatus overturned Saturday night.

NJ.com reports that the Essex County Prosecutor's Office, which announced the incident through a spokesperson, has launched an investigation into the cause.

The prosecutors's office did not offer details on how the ladder wound up on its side on Chestnut Street not far from the Nutley Fire Department's headquarters. It's also unknown if firefighters were responding to or returning from a response call.

Two of the injured firefighters were treated at a nearby hospital and later released, but the third remained hospitalized Sunday.
