Firehouse Expo Provides Unique Trip for Fire Science Students

Aug. 15, 2017
The Firehouse Expo Express is stopping in Wyoming, Nebraska, Iowa and Missouri to bring students to Nashville.

If you're a student studying fire science in Wyoming, Nebraska, Iowa or Missouri, you don't want to miss this educational road trip to Nashville.

Firehouse Expo Express offers a unique experience for college students who are interested in attending Firehouse Expo in October.

"Over the last three years Firehouse has provided open access to college students around the country through our Firehouse Ambassador program," said Firehouse Editor-in-Chief Tim Sendelbach. "This year, with the help of Laramie County. WY, Community College we are excited to offer an expanded program that includes a chartered bus ride to Nashville."

On the bus ride, students will receive training geared toward future firefighters and build relationships with other students.

The cost is only $500 and includes transportation, housing at the Tennessee Fire & Codes Academy, some meals and full access to Firehouse Expo--with five days of classes and three days of exhibits. The networking opportunities are endless, and include interactions with top fire service instructors and firefighters from around the country.

"The Firehouse Expo Express represents the strength and creativity of our partnerships and our continued dedication to helping prepare the next generation of fire service leaders," Sendelbach said. "We appreciate the outstanding support of Laramie County Community College, their staff and all of the sponsors who have brought this program to life."

If you're interested in taking the Firehouse Expo Express, send a letter of interest stating to Nick Siemens: [email protected] and his number is: 970-290-0099.
