A 23-year-old Illinois man was arrested after being hit with a taser when he tussled with a firefighter and police officers while his vehicle burned.

According to the Daily Chronicle, Justice W. Rock of Lee was charged with aggravated battery, two counts of aggravated assault, resisting a police officer, driving under the influence and improper lane usage.

The DeKalb County Sheriff's Office says the Shabbona Fire Department was called to Shabbona Road just after 11 a.m. last Friday for a vehicle fire and that Rock pushed at least one of the responding firefighters while they were trying to extinguish the blaze.

When DeKalb County deputies and a state conservation officer arrived on scene, Rock fought with them, was hit with the taser and then arrested.

Rock was being held in the DeKalb County jail and was scheduled for a bond hearing Monday afternoon.
