NEW ORLEANS, APRIL 23—Engine 38 found a single-story occupied dwelling heavily involved. The fire already had extended to the left to another single-story occupied dwelling. There was a vacant lot to the right side of the fire building and a single-story occupied dwelling to the right of it. When the right wall of the original fire building collapsed, it sent a tremendous amount of fire across the vacant lot and onto the other dwelling amid high winds, but crews were able to stop the fire so that minimal damage occurred to that building.

LITTLE EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, NJ, MARCH 6—The West Tuckerton Fire Company was dispatched for a working structure fire. Law enforcement was on scene first and reported heavy fire coming from the rear. On arrival, crews pulled 2½-inch line. Members entered the house but were pulled out quickly because of a flashover. Gusting winds led to damage to two houses on the B and D sides. Approximately 10–12 apparatus were on scene. Mutual aid was provided by six neighboring departments.
