MA Firefighter Injured in 3-Alarm Apartment Blaze

A Worcester firefighter was taken to the hospital after battling a blaze that broke out at a three-story apartment building and displaced seven residents.

A Worcester firefighter was injured, and seven people were displaced in a fire Sunday morning.

The Worcester Fire Department said firefighters were called to a three-story apartment house on Beacon Street in Worcester for a report of a fire.

Firefighters discovered heavy fire on the third floor of the building extending into the attic.

The third alarm fire was extinguished, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Fire officials said seven people living in the building were displaced. The injured firefighter was taken to a local hospital with a minor injury.
