Around 175 firefighters battled a massive inferno that raged through an Australian chemical factory Friday.

The blaze erupted at a plant in Mebourne, sending fireballs and thick, black plumes of toxic smoke into the air, the Sydney Morning Herald reports. Although crews contained the fire to the factory grounds, officials said it could take days to actually extinguish the flames.
