Raw video shows Troy firefighters tackling a massive blaze at a historic Lansingburgh bowling alley as flames and smoke pour out of the building Wednesday.

A three-alarm fire gutted a historic New York bowling alley Wednesday, and video footage captured firefighters braving the heavy smoke and a flashover as flames spread through the 82-year-old business.

Troy firefighters used three aerial ladder apparatus to attack the blaze at Alpha Lanes in Lansingburgh, the Albany Times-Union reports. The fire caused the roof to cave in, and it's size and ferocity posed challenges for crews.

"As soon as they made entry, conditions immediately deteriorated," Fire Chief Eric McMahon told WRGB-TV. "Two firefighters went missing, we called a mayday."

The firefighters were found unhurt, he added.

State investigators, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives agents and local detectives are trying to determine the cause of the blaze, according to the Times-Union.
