NY Firefighters Hurt in 2-Alarm Home Blaze

Two Buffalo firefighters were injured while battling the residential fire late Sunday, making it more than 15 of the department's firefighters hurt since last week.

Two New York firefighters were hurt battling a two-alarm home fire late Sunday. That makes 17 Buffalo firefighters to be injured in the line of duty since last week.

Crews responded to the blaze in Buffalo's Black Rock neighborhood just before 11 p.m., WGRZ-TV reports. The fire broke out at one home before spreading to a neighboring residence.

The hurt firefighters were taken to the hospital, and the extent of their injuries was not known. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, according to WGRZ.

Last week, 15 Buffalo firefighters suffered injuries battling three different residential fires over 24 hours.
