Virginia House Fire Claims Life

First Responders found heavy fire showing from the front of the house and a report of a 2- year old trapped inside.

On April 26,2005 at 8:13 am, Chesterfield Fire and EMS responded to a house fire at 2811 Milhorn Street that was occupied by two adults and five children.

First Responders found heavy fire showing from the front of the house and a report of a 2- year old trapped inside.

Two firefighters from Engine 14 entered the house through a side window and located the child on a bed.

The house was a total loss and the child died from smoke and heat inhalation.

Responding units: Engines 1, 14, 17, and 18; Truck 14; Medics 12, and 17; Battalions 1, and 2; Tactical Safety Officer.
