Garage Fire in North Carolina

At 3:00 am units were dispatched to 2918 East Market Street to a commercial structure fire at a very old garage/ or gas station.

At 3:00 am units were dispatched to 2918 East Market Street to a commercial structure fire at a very old garage/ or gas station.

The first unit on scene reported heavy black smoke coming from division A and fire showing from divisions C and D sides. They also stated that they were going to be in defensive mode.

A short time later, heavy fire was showing from divisions A and B.

All responders were at the scene until approximately 7am.

The cause of the fire was most likely said to be arson.

Units assigned to the alarm were: from Fire District# 14, Engine 141; and from Greensboro Engine 7, Quint 7, Quint 11, Rescue 5, Air 1, Car 2, Car 8, and Car 33.
