Florida Firefighters Fight Palm Beach Commercial Blaze

On Tuesday April 5, 2005 at 1404 hours, units from Palm Beach Gardens Fire Rescue responded to a commercial building fire.

On Tuesday April 5, 2005 at 1404 hours, units from Palm Beach Gardens Fire Rescue responded to a commercial building fire.

First arriving units filled the commercial alarm and reported heavy fire on the roof of a two story building that was under construction.

Quintt 2 was positioned on the east side of the building and given the initial assignment of elevated master stream operations. Once a water supply was established additional lines were deployed for exposure control.

The structure involved was approximately 3000 square feet and under construction with seventeen pallets of forming foam board on fire.

The fire was brought under control in forty minutes and extinguished was completed within an hour.

There was minimal structural damage to the building and the total damage estimate is $50,000.00.
