Marion County Fire District #1 was dispatched a motor vehicle crash on Silverton Road east of Cordon just after 7 p.m. Wednesday night.
They found a car close to the edge of the water of the Little Pudding Creek approximately 50 feet below the bridge.
They navigated down the steep hill through heavy underbrush to extricate the victim using hydraulic cutters and spreaders. The occupant was hoisted on a rope system up the hill.
The person was transported to a local hospital for evaluation.
