The Easton Fire Department received  a call for a dwelling fire from police who got a call for a 911 hang up.

Two people had just jumped out of the second-floor window. One suffered burns, minor smoke inhalation and cuts while the second received smoke inhalation and cuts.

Neither spent more than two days in the hospital.

The initial structure was nearly fully involved and the home to the east had heavy fire showing up the entire rear. A full call out for the city department was made and Wilson Borough also responded with an engine and manpower.

The homes were a total loss, and neighboring houses on either side received minor smoke and water damage.

No cause has been determined. Both homes were razed.
