The Southampton, N.Y. Fire Department was called out to a working structure fire on Sept. 27 at approximately 6 a.m.

Upon arrival, Chief Brian Cooke realized it was not a structure fire, but instead multiple vehicles on fire as well as a boat.

Firefighters extinguished the fires while protecting neighboring exposures with brush trucks and attack lines. Hampton Bays Fire Department was called for a Rapid Intervention Team and Southampton Town Volunteer Ambulance was called for fire fighter assessment.

The cause of the fire is unknown, and is currently under investigation by the Southampton Town Fire Marshals office.
