The Easton Fire Department receieved a call for a structure fire at approx. 3:45 a.m. on July 16 at 1350 Industrial Dr. in Glendon Borough. (Easton provides fire service to the borough.) The fire involved a small family-owned bakery that was fully involved when the call was received by the 911 Center.

The fire destroyed the building which measured approx. 30'x30'. No injuries were reported, but two neighboring homes next to the fire building received heat damage from the fire.

The cause of the blaze has not been determined. Roughly 2,000 freshly-baked blueberry pies were in the building that were just baked for a nearby Blueberry festival to be held later that day. All the pies were lost.
