Fire Burns Two N.Y. Buildings

A fierce fire damaged two buildings on the north side of Rochester on Sunday. Engines 16, 17, Quint 6/Midi 6, Quint 7/Midi 7, Rescue 11 with Battalion 1 and the Deputy Chief were called to the 300 block of Hudson Ave. at 6:30 p.m. The crew of Engine 17 found two buildings on fire and requested a second alarm, bringing engines 5, 13 and Truck 10. Offcials said the fire quickly spread into both two-story, mixed use structures.

The crew of Engine 17 found two buildings on fire and requested a second alarm, bringing engines 5, 13 and Truck 10. Offcials said the fire quickly spread into both two-story, mixed use structures.

Firefighters deployed lines to the alley and both buildings to battle the fire. The fire was placed under control about 45 minutes later.
