Wisconsin Firefighters Make Guy-Wire Rescue

Caledonia firefighters worked to secure and stabilize a minivan occupied by two teenagers - a brother and sister - after it ended up resting on a guy-wire on a utility pole.The incident occurred on the corner of Northwestern Avenue and Nicholson Road around 2:15 p.m. Sunday, July 3, 2011. Fire crews worked for more than an hour stabilizing the van along with South Shore firefighters and a local tow company. The brother and sister were uninjured during the incident.

The incident occurred on the corner of Northwestern Avenue and Nicholson Road around 2:15 p.m. Sunday, July 3, 2011.

Fire crews worked for more than an hour stabilizing the van along with South Shore firefighters and a local tow company. The brother and sister were uninjured during the incident.

Caledonia police issued a citation for inattentive driving to the 17 year-old operator of the van.
