A fire broke out around 10:15 Thursday morning in a commercial building at 2965 boulevard Le Corbusier at the intersection of the street Berlier.
The company specialized in the sale and manufacture of artificial plants.
The fire was already visible from the outside when firefighters of Laval arrived on the scene.
Several alarms were sounded from time to time.
Thirty-five firefighters from six fire stations in the city participated in the work.
Many plastics are stored in the building and the fire grew very quickly after a few minutes of combat. Part of the building collapsed . Nearby shops and businesses had to be evacuated.
