House Fire in Keene, Texas

At 6:05 am, Friday, July 14, 2006, Keene, Texas Fire Department received a 911 call regarding smoke coming from a house next door.

At 6:05 am, Friday, July 14, 2006, Keene, Texas Fire Department received a 911 call regarding smoke coming from a house next door. The call came in from the 1500 block of North County Road 810 approximately 8 miles from the Keene Fire Station.

With every smoke showing the Keene Fire Department while in route call for mutual aid from the Joshua VFD. Upon arrival they found a brick home with a metal roof with smoking coming from the rafters on all sides of the house.

The attic was fully involved. The house was vacant and in the process of being remodeled. All three exterior doors were open upon the fire departments arrival.

Keene Fire Department, Engine 2 was second on with Joshua VFD third engine on.

Liberty Chapel VFD arrived with a tanker truck followed by additional mutual aid from the Alvarado FD and Burleson FD.

Emergency Support Services provided liquids and medical monitoring.
