Polk County, Florida firefighters battle a fire at a pallet recycling plant on April 5, 2004. The fire resulted in a fast moving brush fire that endangered multiple businesses.

The fire went 2 alarms with 50 firefighters responding and caused 1 million dollars damage. The fire destroyed multiple pieces of heavy equipment and 5 vehicles.

Polk County Fire/Rescue was the responding agency with mutual aid from the the City of Lakeland and the City of Mulberry.
