Fire Burns Through Chimney at Pennsylvania Residence

South Whitehall Twp., Lehigh County, Pennsylvania firefighters were dispatched to a dwelling fire, Saturday, April 3, 4:35 PM.

Cetronia Fire Chief James Balliet reported smoke and fire showing as he arrived on the scene. A fire in the fireplace had burned through the chimney and had extended into the adjoining partitions.

Quick work by firefighters brought the fire under control with moderately severe damage confined to the wall and roof of the room.

No firefighters were injured and the fire was declared under control at 5:00 PM and all units released by 5:40 PM.
