Michigan Firefighters Knock Down House Fire

Hamtramck, MI – On June 15, crews from the Hamtramck Fire Department responded to the area of Faber and Jos. Campau on the report of a dwelling fire. Crews leaving quarters stated that they could see heavy smoke in the area.Upon arrival firefighters found heavy fire in a vacant, two-family flat located between two occupied two-family flats.The fire had extended to either side of the original fire building. Crews dumped the monitor on the original dwelling in an attempt to knock down the fire.

Hamtramck, MI – On June 15, crews from the Hamtramck Fire Department responded to the area of Faber and Jos. Campau on the report of a dwelling fire. Crews leaving quarters stated that they could see heavy smoke in the area.

Upon arrival firefighters found heavy fire in a vacant, two-family flat located between two occupied two-family flats.

The fire had extended to either side of the original fire building. Crews dumped the monitor on the original dwelling in an attempt to knock down the fire.

The original dwelling collapsed and heavy fire was showing from the dwellings on either side. Defensive operations were set up, and major damage was sustained to the two occupied dwellings.

Off-duty call backs were made and crews remained on scene dousing hot spots. All Hamtramck Fire Equipment worked at this fire.
