On March 30, 2004 Cumberland County, Pennsylvania firefighters responded to a working mobile home fire in Twiggs Mobile Home Park in Hampden Township.

On March 30, 2004 Cumberland County, Pennsylvania firefighters responded to a working mobile home fire in Twiggs Mobile Home Park in Hampden Township.

Units were dispatched at 0225 for a mobile home fire; Minutes later, police were on scene reporting heavy smoke in the area.

Chief 330 responded from his residence and reported a column of smoke was visible. Companies 30 (Hampden), 37 (Federal), 31 (Silver Springs), and 12 (Lower Allen) were on scene for two and half hours.

Engine 37 arrived first and ran a line to the front while Engine 4-30 arrived second and opened the residents up. After finding out the residence was unoccupied, command made the decision to handle from the outside due to the involvement. No civilian or firefighter injuries were reported.
