At 10:15 am, on June 2, 2006, Holyoke Fire Alarm received a call for a kitchen fire at the Pizza Palace Restaurant on Dwight Street in the City's downtown district.

At 10:15 am, on June 2, 2006, Holyoke Fire Alarm received a call for a kitchen fire at the Pizza Palace Restaurant on Dwight Street in the City's downtown district. The fire, which spread quickly from the kitchen to the upstairs storage area of the 2 business, 2 story commercial structure required Incident command to call for a 3rd alarm.

All 10 Holyoke units: Engines 1, 2, 3, 5, 6; Reserve Engine 8; Hose Wagon 7; Trucks 1, & 2; and Reserve Truck 3, were joined by Engine 3 from West Springfield Fire; Engine 5 from Chicopee fire; Engine 2; and Ladder Tower 1 from Northampton.

There was fire on scene while several more mutual aid companies back filled the Holyoke stations.

The building which housed 2 restaurants was considered a total loss.
