At approximately 7:50 am Cobb County 911 dispatched a motor vehicle accident with possible rollover.

At approximately 7:50 am Cobb County 911 dispatched a motor vehicle accident with possible rollover. Engine 3 arrived on scene and found a single vehicle on its roof and requested Rescue and Truck 19.

Cobb County police arrived on scene and blocked the roadway to conduct the investigation. Crews put the extrication on hold awaiting the medical examiner.

Upon further investigation, the male was traveling north on Terrill Mill Road between Old Paper Mill Road and Lower Roswell Rd.

His Honda Accord entered a curve at a high rate of speed and he overcorrected his steering and traveled across the northbound lanes before his car struck a block mailbox at 423 Terrill Mill Road. Golf Clubs and other debris littered the front lawn.

The car then flipped onto its roof and came to rest in an embankment in front of the residence.

The male died on impact.

This was not the first time the homeowner's awoke and found a vehicle in the front yard.

Engine 19 arrived to assist in the extrication.
