April 1, 2004
Argentine Township Fire and Rescue, Burns Township Fire Department and Vernon Township Fire Department took part in a live burn training exercise.

On 3/28/04, Argentine Township Fire and Rescue, Burns Township Fire Department and Vernon Township Fire Department took part in a live burn training exercise. The live burn was coordinated by Chief Rick Musall of Burns Township. Argentine Township and Vernon Township were invited to participate in this exercise.

The home, located in Burns Township, was built in the 1830's. It was 3000 square feet with eight bedrooms, balloon construction with proximate structural exposures.

We executed our plan to perfection. No one was injured, the exposures were protected and the collapse was complete in 50 minutes. Twenty four firefighters took part and RIT training was also held at this structure the week prior.
