On Tuesday, March 23, 2004, a 4th alarm equivalent was needed to fight a fire in a 100x300 wood frame horse barn in Revere, Massachusetts.

High winds fanned the flames throughout the building rather quickly.

A total of 13 horses were rescued from the fire by firefighters and stable hands but three horses did die in the fire.

Investigators are looking into the cause of the fire that may havebeen started by a faulty heater.
