Rush Fire Department Fire and EMS responded to a 10-wheeler dump truck vs. Chevy Sedan MVA on State Route 15, 1/2 mile south of State Route 251 in the Town of Rush.

The sedan pulled out right in front of the dump truck. Upon Arrival Assistant Chief/EMT James Bucci found a young male operator trapped with severe lower leg injuries.

Henrietta Volunteer Ambulance with ALS responded to the scene and began Pt. care while Rush Fire Department Heavy Rescue (R588) crew extricated the victim, which took about four minutes.

Rush Foam Pumper 585 responded and stood by at the scene.

The victim was transported to Strong Trauma in Rochester 15 miles away.

The dump truck had 18 tons of stone and the driver was check out by EMS. The front axle and engine of the dump truck was shoved under the front seat. The engine and transmission of the sedan was knocked 100 feet from the car.
