Members of the Yantic, Connecticut Fire Engine Co. #1 responded to a reported motor vehicle accident involving a car vs. tree, on I-395 southbound prior to exit 82, at 6 PM on March 6, 2004.
First on the scene was Chief Frank Blanchard - Car 3, Reporting a car vs. tree with entrapment. Two occupants were trapped within the full size cargo van which struck the tree just behind the driver's door. The van wrapped around the tree leaving the driver's side front and rear tires approximately 24
