On the afternoon of April 19, 2006, firefighters from Santa Paula, Oxnard, Fillmore, Ventura City and Ventura County were dispatched to a working structure fire at the Glen Tavern Inn in the Old Town District of Santa Paula, California.

First-In firefighters encountered heavy fire conditions on the south-side of this historic landmark constructed in 1911.

The fire appeared to have started on the exterior of the structure and quickly extended to the first and second floor, as well as, the attic of the structure.

Firefighters worked off of roof ladders on the steep pitched roof to provide vertical ventilation on the structure as firefighters inside worked in concert to aggressively knock down the fire.
