Shortly after 6am, on April 17, 2006, units from Station 3 (Fruitland), Station 15 (Allen), and Station 16 (Salisbury), were alerted to a house fire on 4145 Allen Road, in Wicomico County.
First arriving Engine/Tanker 1503 was met with a house fully involved, exposure problems, and live wires down alongside the dwelling.
Two occupants inside at the time managed to escape on their own, however one of the occupants sustained burn injuries to her hands and was transported to Peninsula Regional Medical Center.
Afterwards, Station 15 units returning to quarters stopped and extinguished a citizen's controlled brush fire due to a burn ban in this part of Maryland.
