New York Firefighters Respond to Fully Involved Barn Fire

At approximately 1:30 a.m. on March 2nd the Campbell Hall Fire Department was alerted for a possible fire on Sarah Wells Trail near Hulsetown Rd in the Town of Hamptonburgh.

At approximately 1:30 a.m. on March 2nd the Campbell Hall Fire Department was alerted for a possible fire on Sarah Wells Trail near Hulsetown Rd in the Town of Hamptonburgh. Campbell Hall Car-5 (Theo Dawydko) arrived to a fully involved barn, Chief Mike Snyder assumed Command.

As several large explosions rocked the barn mutual aid requests went out for equipment from Maybrook, Goshen, Washingtonville, Salisbury Mills, Mountain Lodge, Chester. Coldenham & Walden to assist at scene. Goshen, Montgomery & S. Blooming Grove were on standby.

Many Guinea Pigs, Rabbits and Chickens were lost in the fire whose cause is still under investigation by the Orange County Fire Investigation Unit, Blooming Grove Ambulance also assisted at the scene.
