A Special Call was placed for Battalion 2, Chief Darryl Lewison, to respond. Upon his arrival he was informed that the male patient was found lying in bed and was covered with human waste and vomit for over a week. Chief Lewison placed a Special Call for Camden Rescue 1 which is equipped with full HazMat gear. Rescue 1 Captain Frank Sandrock along with Fire Fighters G. Lyons, E. Stratton, A. Figueroa and J. Captain Sandrock broke out the Tyveks Level B Suits for all fire fighters and EMS Personnel. Fire Fighters also suited up with SCBA's. After a briefing from Chief Lewison and Camden's EMS, members entered the dwelling and removed the very large male patient. He was then transported to Cooper Medical Center. Engine 9's members used a water line with detergent to wash down the members before returning to service.
