Firefighters responded to a single family dwelling fire just before 1:00 PM on March 4th and encountered heavy fire on arrival.
Under the command of Chief Jack Flanagan, the Hazardville Fire District handled the lunch time fire with mutual aid from the Shaker Pines, Enfield, North Thompsonville and Thompsonville fire departments.
No injuries were reported and the fire is under investigation by the local and State Fire Marshal offices. The homeowner was home at the time of the fire and escaped without injury.
